Author Submission Guidelines Gem Guides welcomes the opportunity to consider publishing proposals for quality non-fiction titles in the following fields— Rocks, Minerals, Gems Field Guides for Rock and Fossil Collectors Lapidary Work or Jewelry Crafts New Age Related to Crystals and Gems Gold Prospecting / Treasure Hunting Travel, Hiking, and Outdoor Guides of the West/Southwest We prefer books of the “where to go” and “how to do” type, rather than personal or family history. Authors are requested to submit a printed manuscript, or two or three sample chapters, an outline or table of contents, and samples of photos and/or illustrations that will be part of the book. A market assessment illustrating how this book compares with other available books on the topic is especially helpful, along with a statement of the author’s credentials and biographical information.
